Everything happens for a reason.

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” Marilyn Monroe realized the truth to life; everything happens for a reason; everything just falls in place, some way or another.

Don’t you ever think about why certain things happen to you? I’ve always wondered about that, but I guess everything happens for a reason so maybe things are just meant to be that way. People come and go into your life. If they leave and don’t come back, maybe it’s better that way. If it was meant to be they would come back into your life. Or you’re having a rough day and you say to yourself “why did I have to have such a horrible day?” You might go through ups and downs in life but in the end things turn out the way they’re supposed to be.
Throughout the years, people you’ve known can drastically change; sometimes it’s for the worse or the better. You might not even recognize it right away but soon their actions will speak louder to you. Overtime you realize who’ve they become and if they’ve changed for the worse; they’re just not the person you use to know. Maybe you’ll have to learn to let go if it bothers you of whom they have become or just stick with them and be there for them. Life comes with many obstacles and letting go of people you care about is one. It’s hard but it’s a part of life.
Have you ever planned something in your head but when you try to take those actions everything just goes wrong? When things go wrong you come into realization and appreciate when things go smoothly. Usually when bad things occur, it hits people-the realization-they realize that everything isn’t easy to do. But when things go wrong remember to be appreciative when things go accurately.
Every day minute, every hour, everyday day; people lie constantly. Everyone is gullible at times so they believe what they’ve been told. Usually the gullible people find out the truth. That’s when trust is lost. We learn that we can’t trust everyone, sometimes not even your own family can be trusted; nobody can be trusted. We can only trust ourselves and no one else. If we end up trusting someone, doubt is on our mind constantly, at anytime that person can break the trust. In the end we just have ourselves to trust and that’s it, no friends nor family.
Have you had a time when you were enjoying life to the fullest? Everything was going good and smoothly. But then all of a sudden something disrupts your good vibe. There’s never a time where everything is perfect in your life. Something always has to ruin it. And from there your life just goes downhill. Or have you had a day when everything was just splendid but then throughout the day, your day just falls apart and it just turns out to be a bad day. Have you ever wondered why your day was so rough? Why did it have to be you? Why do bad things happen to you when you’re enjoying life? Things can go awfully wrong in life but soon good will be returned for what you have suffered or gone through. It might be hard to overcome some situations but those are the consequences in life. Maybe things like this happen so better things can occur in the future. Well I’ve always thought about it that way-maybe things are just meant to be that way.

  1. The amount of ups and downs experienced in a lifetime is infinite, and this is precisely why one must not encumber themselves with these situations. At one point, it is essential to realize that in life it is inevitable to encounter events both good and bad. However, with every passing situation, there is a new lesson to be learned and hopefully applied to future occurences.

  2. I completely agree with you're quote! I have seen it in my own life that ever thing truly happens for a reason. Even if you don't know why at the moment there is always one reason or another. Overall I enjoyed reading you're essay. I liked you're use of comparing and contrasting. It allowed me to see how we have our good days and our bad and how it effects us.

  3. Great explanantion! I was able to clearly understand your statements and opinions. I enjoyed reading your blog, and agree with you that in the "end things turn out the way they’re supposed to be" through the "ups and downs in life". Also, the way you used questions to make a point made it more interesting to read!

  4. Melissa,I had a lot fun reading your post because of first the quote by the beautifully intelligent Marilyn Monroe and because of the feelings your passage evoked. The Exact feelings that you evoked was a feeling of awe because your piece caught me right between the eyes.Like sometimes we are having a great morning and the smallest change in our routine makes our days worse but those are the things that are meant to be and as Marilyn Said sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.Keep writing because your writing has a sense of honesty and maturity which makes it all the more enjoyable.

  5. Yes I totally agree! Though we dont know the reasons sometimes, we learn from them somehow, someway. Life is hard, and many things happen to us, but we just gotta let life takes a toll, and let life be for sometimes its for the better of us. Sometimes many people dont appreciate what they have untill its gone. Thats just how life makes our self character build, its what makes us!
